Re: Isuzu c223T accelerating problem
You have a gross symptom. The solution is probably simple as already mentioned with a possible sticking cable.

Jack,
OK. Sounds like good advice about the lift height.. I'll be doing this in the garage so it is a serious consideration.
Thanks!

Weight of components and removal
What is the weight of the engine? What is the weigh of a 5 speed tranny? I am asking to prepare to remove them from my dead truck and want to have a hoist of the correct capacity. Any tricks/suggestions on removing? IIRC it is easier to pull the engine and tranny together. Is that still true. (2 whe...

Re: Bad Day on my street
To all my Isuzu friends, Thank you for the fast replies. I'll be looking at the links and suggestions. The frame on my truck is now split in two places. I think this is more than a cab swap out. I have welded the frame (70%) but the impact really tore out several hard points and whacked things up qu...

Bad Day on my street
Across the street backed out of his driveway and this is the result. Dead. Two frame fractures and other most likely non salvageable damage. I am quite upset as I have a lot of time and 300 gallons of fuel to process for it.

Re: Random Engine noise at higher speeds.
IIRC the fan has a clutch on it. When the temperature is hot enough the clutch "swells up" making a fairly solid connection between the fan hub and the shaft. Is it possible that you have a string or flap of material that has peeled off one of the drive belts? (I forget if you have AC or n...

Re: Biodiesel as solvent
Phil, B-100 is 100% Bio-diesel. Look for a local making his.her own to ask about buying some. Typically you don't see B-100 being sold commercially. If you live near an airport that services jest you ma be able to scrounge some JP-8 from their fuel sample/waste tank. (Ask permission of course first)...

Re: Teaching a friend
Please instill the habit of the seat belt. If it is moving the seat belts are on...period. (Just down the road a high School senior ran into a tree. The tree was not large and he vehicle simply pushed the tree over. Unfortunately she did not have her belt on and went flying and died. A survivable ac...

Re: Biodiesel as solvent
Yes it is a good solvent. It will remove paint, loosen grease and crud. It also seems to be good at being reused. Just let the crud settle to the bottom of a container and pour off the good stuff on top.
