Re: 15"'s on a 4x4 Pup: what lift for proper clearance

Are you hitting frame or the bottom corner of the cab? Turn up the torsion bars. Smaller tires are the only way to go. 215/70/15 won't hit except for sharp turns in a bump. I use 225/70's and just drive carefully. You can go with 235/70's but you will have to have an inset wheel. Anything larger wil...

WVO kit recommendation needed.

I have been interested in running straight waste VO for some time. I have decided to leave my pup as is and convert a 83 mercedes for this project. I work alot of hours and honestly don't have all the time to do the research and build my own system from scratch. What I need is to purchase a complete...

Re: 85 pup headliner removal

no, but they will have to untuck the headliner vinyl from around the doors for access. I just don't want to do this if it cannot be put back into place.

85 pup headliner removal

Thanks to a hail storm several months back the roof of my pup got dimpled. :( The dent removal people say they can get them out, but I am hesitant because I have the original vinyl with the metal wire type headliner and it still is in very good shape. I don't want it to be ruined trying to take it o...

Re: Secret to installing an alternator??

I have had that bolt problem before. The solution, you have to put one in and only thread it about 1/4 turn, then use a screwdriver or punch to line up the other hole. You will have to start it with a socket and be careful not to cross thread it. Took me about 3 hours of fighting to figure out how t...

Alternator not charging on startup

Thy guy who rebuilt my alternator says that one of the small wires going to the alternator is supposed to energize it and make it start charging as soon as the engine starts. Now I have to rev the engine a little before it will start charging. He thought it was more trouble than it was worth to try ...

Re: spectre inline air filter

Sweet setup. I wasn't willing to listen to the extra noise so I connected my factory silencer box to the front using a straight piece of heater hose and a metal box I made. Add a k&n to the factory housing and you have the extra power but low noise. http://www.isuzupup.com/download/file.php?id=1...

need pic of original p'up bench seat.

Hey everyone, long time no see. The time has come to have my pup bench seat reupholstered and the shop I took it to amazingly has found the original type vinyl (the blue diagonal punched holes) to redo my seat. Since the interior is in such good shape I am leaning towards spending the extra $ and ge...

Re: Re-packing belt tensioner bearing grease suggestions?

When I repacked mine I went to a feed and farm store and bought a syringe with the largest diameter needle they had, probably for cattle. I put the grease in it then slid the needle in between the rollers and injected. :D It still took a firm push but it think it is easier than using your palm and y...
