Re: Front Bearing Intallation Confusion

Thanks for the replies, all thoughts are appreciated. The affirmation that the instructions I'm following seem in order is the main thing I was looking for. Also the explanation of the "why" the bearings are adjusted in this manner is valued. :D I just finished the procedure and took the t...

Re: Front Bearing Intallation Confusion

Since nobody has yet given any input, and I need to get this job done, below is the procedure I am going to follow (per instructions I found on Autozone's site regarding front rotor replacement.) If anyone has an opinion or other input to this method, I'm all ears. I just don't want to do anything h...

Front Bearing Intallation Confusion

I'm hoping someone can set me straight on how to install and preload the front bearings on the 2WD Pickup. I am getting various procedures through various sources. Some reference the use of a spring scale, other don't. Some have you torquing to 12 ft-lbs and other to 22 ft-lbs before backing off the...

Re: Is it time to adust valves on 2.6?

Got it! Thanks for the advise. I'll get this done ASAP.

What kind of problems/damage could arise by going beyond the 500 mile initial adjustment period?

Is it time to adust valves on 2.6?

Installed a new Clearwater head almost 3,000 miles ago and I can't remember if the valves are to be readjusted at 3,000 or 5,000 miles. Would appreciate any feedback on whether to do it now or wait another 2,000 miles. Also, I've heard mixed opinions on whether or not to retorque the head bolts. The...

Battery recommendation?

Getting ready to replace the battery that came with the truck when I bought it 3 years ago. (Don't know how old it is.) Current battery is rated at 725 CCA and 890 CA which I think is overkill. When using online battery selectors for this pickup it's coming up with ratings of 550 or 600 CCA. Truck i...

Accelerator pedal got stuck in down position - HELP

(Also posted at Plantetisuzoo.com) I think I already know the answer, but want to run it by the board and all it's collective wisdom. My son called me this AM from inside his pickup in downtown New Orleans. (It was 30 deg. F outside at the time.) I didn't get the greatest of details from him but I t...

Re: Fuel pump relay

The picture is the best I can do for you because my technical know-how is very limited. I'm sure others on this board are more equipped to answer your questions. You may want to also post your question over at the planet isuzu forum (http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/) since they have more traffic. Alth...
