power steering...

hi everyone .. haven't dropped for a while .. as a result of some thinking.. ... my little p'up 1981 vintage never came with power steering frankly I tired of pulling it round corners.... wouldn't a bit of help of how the power steer has been set up.. even a few close pix of mounting and or brackets...

a couple of weeks back we took my p'up out to collect a few parts for the house / yard. stopped for a red light , turned right then a tight left into a garage for that slow leak .. just as we pulled in , the motor stopped, refusing to start. no tools and a long from home... luckily there was a handy...

im assuming you have a steering box, thoughts are leaning toward the pitman arm (on the bottom of the box) was spun around the steering box shaft ,, at impact with the curb... check to see if its loose and/undo the big nut - check the splines on both the arm and the steering box sounds as if you sti...

ok had another look at this problem ,, and the outcome was a little less difficult than my crooked imagination had led me to believe ..... and a "doh " moment was had ..... the 4 bolts that hold down the rocker cover,, the little seals were not sealing anymore hence the oil everywhere,, so...

hi everyone. im running a "G180" gas engine less than 3000miles ago had a hone, new rings and bearings, all the valves re-seated. chap I got the motor off pulled it and put a 3.6 v6 in his pup my problem is the faster I go the more ( im assuming) crankcase pressure builds and blows oil out...

hmmm some things come to mind,,, 1* I have on my pup , a faulty tail flasher. one side works fine, the other flashes when it feels like it, and usually after I give a whack . I need to get round to that, and will probably replace the whole light assy for a later one from a UB55 trooper/ bighorn. 2* ...

have you checked your brake light switch ,, switch is via a bracket that touches your brake pedal , when you brake , the switch should be free to open and complete the light circuit... sometimes they crap out , is difficult to see as they are a throw away part. if you block the brake pedal to the se...
