I thought maybe I had Ray's number -- but I don't. If you want to email me, I can give you the email address I have on his account.

Re: just joined
Welcome to the site! When I bought mine in '83, I'd read that the S10 was available with a diesel, but none of our local dealers had any and they didn't seem to care.
Your truck looks to be in great condition.
What took you so long to join here?

Re: URGENT: Need Trooper mechanic in San Diego area
Definitely, what dorf said.
But if being on a road trip means you have to have someone else check it, please don't listen if they tell you the pump is bad. Too many "mechanics" won't admit they don't know that they don't know.

Re: New to a family of pup
Welcome to the site! Nice looking truck! I too wish they'd offered that model pickup in a diesel. We've had some do diesel swaps into that style truck, but a bit underpowered. Jack, did they off the ext cab in a 4x4? I know they had a reg cab. 4x4 I think I found one of those in my local Pull-A-Par...

Re: Mwitale | Introduction to the Isuzu PuP Family
Welcome to the site, Mwitale.
If the double cab had been available here, I would probably be driving one.
If you need to know the model year, we should be able to get it from 10th digit of the VIN.
A=1980 (the US did not have this in 1980)
B=1981
C=1982
D=1983
E=1984
F=1985
G=1986
H=1987

I guess you traded the old one in? If not, I'd see about swapping the connector.

It's worth noting that this same question is posted on the PlanetIsuzoo.com site, and they're already responding.

Re: Back online, but not fully restored
Wow, I just noticed this and want to say how much I appreciate your time and effort Jack. Running website can be a daunting and often thankless project. I know I'd be lost without it when it comes to figuring things out with my crazy turbo diesel pup. As an aside, your pup, the red and silver LS lo...

Re: NA c2323 and TD c223 differences
Ok, I'll start, but I doubt I cover everything.
Assuming both are from the same year:
Smaller valves on the C223-T
Different oil pump
Different injection pump
Besides the engine itself:
Radiators are different, and the transmissions actually have slightly different gear ratios (for 2wd).
