For best results use bleeders with the sealant in the threads or to grease the treads on the bleeders to ensure a good seal. Of course whichever one you use be sure to close the bleeder valv...

Re: Cassette Player

So I've recently acquired a few cassettes of my grandfather's band playing and I'd really like to listen to them, so I pop them in my cassette player and all I hear is static. I've tried every button on this thing, and no matter what it just sounds empty, I even tried some other cassettes that I kn...

Re: Introduction

Hey folks, I'm restoring a 75 chevy luv Pics soon, but I hope this is the right place Cheers Welcome to the site. Have you joined luvtruck.com yet? The 75 luv is actually an Isuzu, as you know, and does share a few similarities with the 81-87 Pups. I've always thought that a diesel transplant into ...

Re: Help! 1.9 Gasser - Persistent Oil Leak from Repaced Fuel Pump

You may have to block off that fuel pump hole and fit the carb with an low pressure election pump instead.

Re: Help! 1.9 Gasser - Persistent Oil Leak from Repaced Fuel Pump

Maybe you could buy some thicker gasket material like cork/rubber and make a new gasket with that coupled with some good sealant. Check pcv valve if it has one and be sure it's relieving crankcase pressure. Just an idea

Re: Help! 1.9 Gasser - Persistent Oil Leak from Repaced Fuel Pump

It seems that I recall that when these gasser fuel pumps leak oil, it's a sign that the pump is bad.

Re: Engine Locked Up - Any Ideas?

Pull the top timing belt cover and inspect. Forcing it to turn over with a broken belt might compound your problem

Re: Steering wheel removal

Try backing off the nut but not removing it. Yank on steering wheel and see if it'll come loose. If not, Position the steering wheel so you have one of the spokes pointing down @ 6:00. You need room to swing a mallet. Put your knees against the back side if the steering wheel and apply some pressure...
