Re: 2.3 Intake manifold modification

The studs that are right in the middle are for the mechanical fuel pump. I removed the egr off mine and milled the casting off the intake. But on the stock one the egr valve on the front of intake facing radiator is only one needs capped off. The one under the intake just remove pipe remove studs an...

Re: 2.3 Intake manifold modification

I did, both were ported to gasket size, we had cleaned up the intake ports on the head 2 years ago, i initially just wanted to ge rid of the EGR castings to clean up the manifold. but after looking at the horrible adapter plate missmatch and the intake runners out came the die grinder. It was a fun ...

Re: volt, clock and oil pressure console. wiring?

I found a console out of a different truck and put into my 85 pup diesel. The cluster hopefully has the small wire harness that connects the cluster to the truck harness with it. On mine i believe back behind the radio/ heater control area is where the main wiring harness runs along the dash. I foun...

Re: Exporters Lurking

I ran into one at the pulla part in Mobile, He is from Egypt comes over for months at a time, all he does is scan the pulla part sites for anything isuzu, thats all he does. He goes all over the southeast. Hard to compete with that when its his job to get isuzu stuff. He gave me his card and asked t...

Re: '92 2.3 Running rough and loud after head gasket install.

from the video sounds like maybe an exhaust leak, or the air rail leaking. but many variables possible. why did the head gasket go? was it overheated if so did you have the head checked. have you done a compression test and if so what are your readings. have you timed the engine with a timing light....

Re: 2.3 Intake manifold modification

Intake is on and works noticeably better .throttle response seems smoother and has a little more gdt up and go. The adapter plate for the webber leaves a big step effecting air flow. In the first pic the black ring on the bottom of the secondary side is where the adapter plate starts. SO it leaves a...

2.3 Intake manifold modification

Finally finished with the manifold hope to install it in next few weeks . Really easy removing the EGR plumbing and it should flow much better than a stock intake , many of hours smothing out the casting flaws in this bugger.

Re: Touchy Brakes

Might want to check the rear brake adjustment. If the rear is way out if adjustment the pedal will feel spongy.

Re: Timing a 2.3

Weber are very simple carbs. But something isn't making sense to me . If you have your advancer plugged into the intake manifold it will be getting full vacuum at idle . Which would fully advance the timing so it can't advance any more so I can't see how your timing could be correct at idle. Your sh...
