Wow... wish I could've been there :/

BTW dad (and all of those on Isuzupu/Luvtruck), you can also use http://imgur.com/ to post pictures so that JoeIsuzu doesn't have lots of memory used up.

Great pictures though. Makes me want another LUV. Well... a V8 one at least.

Re: Finalman, the sailor man

Is Finalman permanently assigned to the Jacksonville, or did he just take a "cruise?" If assigned, when does he get his Dolphins? (I guess they still have them) I was stationed on the USS Simon Lake As-33 in the late 60's, the "mothership" for the North Atlantic Submarine Fleet....

Re: Just how big of a hole can Bondo cover?

Re: water comming in from dash on passenger side

Those leaks are usually the windsheild gasket, make sure if you get one installed that they put plenty of sealant around it (glass side and metal side), if it is not that, there are drains in the cowl induction on the hood that get clogged then like to rot out... haven't seen it yet though.

Re: Coolant testing

However, "Cavitation" is not a corrosion, it's the subsequent formation and collapse of vapor bubbles due to fluid pressure dropping below then rising above saturation pressure.... mostly happens in pumps. Oh yes it is, at least in everyday language. Seems no matter what I say, and how ha...

Re: Coolant testing

Maybe he was thinking about something similar to "Departure from nucleate boiling?" P.W.Reactors undergo it due to their design sometimes, it helps "stir" the coolant sometimes, but too much will yeild bad stuff..... but that'd cause the oxide layer to corrode quickly like some s...

Re: Coolant testing

If I remember correctly thjere are two tests for checking the coolant servicability. One, of course, is the temperature at which the coolant will freeze. I keep about a 50/50 mix in the truck and that seems to be OK. A liquid sample in one of those floating ball testers or (if youhave it) one of th...

Re: My diesel goes BANG BANG BANG!!!

I can hear a inconsistent "thuh" sound with your engine warmed up, the sounds it makes as it starts definitely isn't normal, the other video of it running while cold sounds like it's got air in the lines, at least that how our diesel sounded...

a bit more listening may help...
