Re: Veg oil conversion questions.

What type of conversion are you going to use? I use a two tank set up that uses coolant to heat my wvo so it has a minimal amount of electrical power drain on my stock alternator.

Re: low power, surging, and stalling. injection pump? inject

At the start of this thread I was with puttputtinpup as the symptoms you described were the symptoms of a plugged fuel system(filter) to a T exactly. I have run my pup off of a can of seafoam like a mini fuel tank and although it smoked a lot when I did this I do not think it did any damage to the p...

Re: Valve adjustment

It is not a hard job and it would be good to check them at this point. The best advice since you are in Camas WA is go park it in Luvcamas' driveway and say that it just died due to bad valve adjustment and ask him to teach you how to do it. Actually there is a good set of directions here http://www....

Tracy, Johnson would be better  if you're looking for less government interference, to heck with a two party system. people actually need to start thinking not just looking for the r or d on the ballot! The notion of a 3rd party is popular with your generation. So is Utopia. If a thi...

Re: My WVO plan... Some questions

Okay that makes sense. The only thing I see missing in the new diagram is the return line that comes off the IP that needs to combine with the return line after the injectors. I have run mine with or without a lift pump with similar results .

Re: 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 gets diesel option!!!

I read that chev/gmc were going to put a diesel in the colorado pickup, i would be intrested in one of those. Kenneth They have been putting a small duramax type diesel in the Colorado for years and it has been sold in many places other than the USA. Many auto makers including the big three are sel...

Re: My WVO plan... Some questions

It seems to me that Sunwizards diagram has a valve between the tanks and the lift pump instead of the first valve after the lift pump . Also, the return line from the injectors needs to combine with a return line from right at the IP. His design is a solid one , why deviate from it in any way? my_wv...

Re: [ask]air keep coming

You need to check the rubber hoses that are between the sedimenter and the fuel tank, its those ones that are going to let air into the sedimenter and filter.Even if they look dry it is possible for air to get in when a vacuum is present. There is probably about a 1-2 foot piece going from the sedim...

Re: How many miles before switching over to Veggie

I always go by the temp gauge,my gauge usually spikes to about 200 and then drops back to 195 a minute or so later and I switch after it drops to 195.Depending on the speed and road whether uphill or putting along it ranges from 4 to 10 miles I would say. Nate

I've heard of it being done for long oil change intervals with a high quality oil and filter(s) in a newer very clean burning diesel motor.I dont think its possible with a C223.

I found this study where they compared a bunch of diesel fuel lubricity additives against one another using the ratio reccomended on the label added to Ultra Low Sulfer Diesel. Biodiesel was top lubricity improver of all products tested , to be fair it was also used at 50to1 ratio where the others w...

Re: NEWB!!! Need that Funny oil hose on the back of vacuum p

Those oil lines get brittle with age, just have to plan to replace it if you remove the alternator. The purpose of that oil line is to lubricate the vacuum pump with engine oil and it is important. Just like steveE said you can get that part from Jerry and save some money over a dealership and be as...
